Travel Grant

Aims

The scheme is designed to help excellent postgraduate research (PhD) students attend ECASIA conferences at which they are presenting an oral contribution.

The contribution consists of three grants at the rate of 500€ each.

This grant cannot be transferred to another person.

Qualification

• The abstract with the applicant as the first author must be submitted as an oral presentation.
• The 1st degree of the applicant must be awarded within 7 years of the start date of the ECASIA conference (i.e. not earlier than 2019).
• The applicant should be 30 years old maximum.
• The applicant should be the only one supported from his/her laboratory.

Procedure

Applicants must send the Application files, to the Conference Secretary (ecasia2026@guarant.cz) before 8 March 2026.

The Local Organization Committee (LOC) will review the application file and transmit the 6 best applications to the International Steering Committee (ISC) who identifies the winners.

Individual official decisions will also be sent by e-mail by 4 May 2026. The final decision will be announced on the conference website by 15 May 2026. The winners must send to the Conference Secretary a confirmation of his/her attendance before 13 May 2026 to validate the offer.

The winners will be asked to sign a receipt and prove their identity at the registration desk on site.

• Application form. This document is signed by the applicant.
• Enrollment Statement. Official headed notepaper should be used. This document is signed by the supervisor of the PhD student.
• The abstract of the planned oral conference contribution.
• A copy of the Degree Certificate.
• A photographic identity with a date of birth such as a passport
